The Trust is delighted to be able to issue three grants to young Welsh cricketers Jack Murphy, Tom Murphy and Roman Walker to help them with various aspects of their cricketing development this winter.

Jack Murphy, 22, from Haverfordwest, who attended the Tom Maynard Academy in Spain as part of the second cohort in 2015, recently broke into the full Glamorgan side and played three Championship matches at the end of the season. He is playing club cricket for Hampton CC in Victoria, Australia.

His younger brother Tom, 18, is also playing grade cricket in Victoria, in his case for Carnegie CC. Both have received grants of £750 from the Trust to assist them with their air fares and accommodation costs.

Roman Walker, a 17-year-old right arm pace bowler from Wrexham, has been awarded a grant of £800 to help him with accommodation costs so that he can take up a place to study on the BTEC in Sport course in Cardiff.

This takes the number of young people who the Trust has supported with individual grants to 62.
