We’re delighted to be supporting the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA) with their annual Rookie Camp. Our partnership with them is a very close one and the PCA’s Deputy CEO, Jason Ratcliffe, is one of our five Trustees. The Tom Maynard Trust has been formally sponsoring PCA Rookie Camps since 2013 and we are very proud recently to have extended our formal agreement to cover a further three years through to 2018.
The Rookie Camps cover a whole host of different topics aimed at advising newly contracted professional county cricketers across a range of areas. In addition to the PCA in cricket, the Trust also supports careers and education programmes in professional football, rugby union and rugby league. This is a really important area of our work.

Our latest joint venture with the PCA is this Autumn’s ‘Big Bike Ride 2’, which covers 380 miles from Truro, in Cornwall, to The Oval, in London, raising funds for the Trust and the PCA Benevolent Fund. This takes place from 8th to 13th October.
